Who we are

Jodi Koenig MSN, CPNP-AC/PC, CCRN-p

Jodi has been in the business of caring for others for over 25 years!  She attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and began her advanced practice nursing journey in 2005, completed her graduate work at Vanderbilt University and post master's work at Texas Tech University!  Jodi's experience in caring for children ranges from well child care to complex kid care including g-tubes, trachs, and vents to caring for the most critically ill children in our area.  She has served on the board for the South Texas Alamo Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and has been a leader in APRN practice in the surrounding region!  

Jodi lives in the Geronimo community and takes great pride in working with the youth of this area!  She has been married to Matt, her best friend, for over 24 years and they have three beautiful children, Cole, Karlee and Kenzie!  She enjoys reading, camping and the beach in her "spare time"!

Kellie Whitson, Office Manager/Biller

Kellie was born and raised in Seguin and has been married to Martin for 24 years.  together, they have 3 amazing sons,  Sheldon, Tanner and Brody.  Kellie attended Southwest Texas University and later pursued a medical career receiving her Medical Secretary Degree in 1992.  She has since worked in the medical field as a medical office manager and brings 26 years of comprehensive experience to GVP.  Kellie also enjoys sharing her passion for volleyball with young athletes as a Texas Tigers Club Volleyball coach where she has coached the last 5 years.  She is excited and eager to continue her career in pediatrics and assist in providing our community and younger generation the best possible service!

Tracy Mayfield, M.A.

Tracy  has lived in the Seguin community her whole life!  She and her husband, Jackie, have been married over 24 years and they have 3 wonderful children, Mckayla, Mckenzie and Mckade, and 2 grandchildren!  She is a certified Medical Assistant and has been in the medical field for over 24 years with over half of that dedicated to pediatrics!  She is excited to be a part of the GVP team and is looking forward to working with our parents and patients to bring high quality pediatric care with a family feel!

At some point or another, all children will run fever!  It never fails...it's always at night when it seems scarier than if the sun was up! 


Remember...we do not give Ibuprofen to children under 6 months old and any fever for infants under the age of 3 months needs a visit!

Announce coming events

We will be closed on July 4th and July 5th to celebrate with our families!  We will still be available by phone should you have an emergency!  We will reopen on Monday, July 8th @ 8:00am.  HAPPY 4th of JULY! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

What do we do after hours if we have questions?  If the issue isn't an emergency, call us back during our regular business hours.  If your child needs to be seen but it is not an emergency: I recommend Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care clinic.

Remember: a fever, diarrhea, sore throat, ear pain, etc...are not emergencies and should be able to be handled at home with support and over the counter medications!  Medication refills are not emergencies and should be able to be filled at the next business day!
